Answers Before Anyone Climbs a Ladder
Most roof questions start the same way. Something looks wrong, a storm just rolled through, or the roof is getting old, and you want to know what you’re dealing with before you call anyone. These tools give you a straight answer in a few minutes, from your phone or computer, with no sign-up.
They’re the same questions our roofers hear every day across Central Texas, answered the way we answer them on a roof: honestly, with the reasons behind it, and with the decision left to you.
Four Tools to Start With
- Austin Roof Replacement Cost Calculator: tell us about your home and the roof you want, and see a price range right away. No email needed to see the number.
- Central Texas Hail Map: enter your ZIP code to see hail reports near your home, and sign up for an alert the morning after the next storm.
- Repair or Replace? Roof Diagnostic: answer a few questions about your roof’s age and what you’re seeing, and find out whether it sounds like a repair, an inspection, or a replacement.
- Which Roof Is Right for Me?: eight questions about your budget, your plans, and what matters most, then a ranked list of materials with honest pros and cons.
The tools work together. If the diagnostic points toward a replacement, the calculator picks up from there. If the hail map shows a storm near you, the diagnostic helps you decide what to look for next.
Built Around Central Texas Roofs
Roofs here face a lot: spring hail, long stretches of summer heat and UV, sudden wind, and the occasional hard freeze. The tools reflect that. The hail map uses real storm reports for Texas, the material quiz weighs hail resistance and energy bills the way Austin homeowners do, and the diagnostic asks about the problems we find most often on local roofs.
Every tool also links to the guides we’ve already written, from our common roof issues library to our pages on roof types, so you can read more about whatever comes up.
When You Want a Real Answer
A tool can point you in the right direction, but only an inspection can tell you exactly what your roof needs. LOA offers no-cost, same-day roof inspections, and drone inspections when you can’t be there. We’ll tell you what we find, show you the photos, and never try to sell you on a product or service you don’t need.
Schedule a free inspection or call us at (512) 375-3654.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are These Tools Free?
Yes. Every tool is free, and you never have to enter contact details to see a result. If you’d like us to follow up, you can send your answers to our team from any tool.
How Accurate Is the Cost Calculator?
It gives you a realistic range based on your home’s size, your roof’s pitch, and the material you choose. Your exact price depends on things only an inspection can confirm, like the condition of the decking and the details of your roof line. That’s why the range comes with an offer of a free inspection, not a contract.
Where Does the Hail Data Come From?
From the NOAA Storm Prediction Center, which collects hail reports from trained spotters and the public. The reports mark where hail was seen, so a storm can drop hail between them. If hail was reported near you, it’s worth having your roof checked.
