Walking around on a roof every now and then shouldn't create issues. However, if there's a heavy amount of foot traffic or you aren't careful while walking around on a roof it can cause serious problems, especially if there are compounding factors like a poor installation or roof shrinkage.

  • Foot Traffic Can Physically Damage the Roofing System

    Roofs aren't really built for walking around like a floor. Even flat roofs that are designed to hold HVAC systems and other equipment can be physically damaged by foot traffic. That damage can lead to a leaking roof and other problems like loosened materials.
